Prince Harry's controversial podcast pitch to interview Donald Trump and Putin:
The Duke of Sussex is said to have shocked producers when he asked to interview the two Presidents about their childhood.
Prince Harry reportedly wanted to controversially interview Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump about their childhoods in a Spotify podcast.
The Duke of Sussex is said to have shocked producers with his bold idea of asking them about their upbringing and how they compared to the men they are today.
However, it seems Harry never got the chance after the £18million Spotify deal between him and Meghan Markle was called off last week after just one series of Markle's Archetypes podcast.
Bloomberg reports that the prince has discussed podcast ideas with "several producers and production houses" but has "mostly stuck with his own" idea of interviewing the characters, reports the Express.
According to recent reports, the Duke has been dreaming of big dreams with guests, as he reportedly wanted to chat with Russian President Vladimir Putin, former US President Donald Trump and Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg.
It was also reported that Harry had hoped to speak to Pope Francis about religion.
His controversial pitch is said to have struck Spotify bosses as "questionable at best" as most of his guest favorites rarely gave interviews or discussed their upbringing.
Harry and Meghan signed the lucrative deal with Spotify after stepping out of the Royal Family in March 2020.
But although Meghan was recently named Top Entertainment Podcast Host at the Gracie Awards, the podcast was canceled after just 12 episodes.
In a joint statement with Spotify, the couple's company, Archewell, said, "Spotify and Archewell Audio have mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we have produced together."
But there are questions about whether things are as amicable as they have been portrayed after Spotify's head of innovation and podcast monetization Bill Simmons called the couples "fuckin' crooks "Just a day later.
In an angry tirade, he said: "This is the podcast we should have started with them. I need to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry for l 'help with a podcast idea. That's it.'" one of my best stories.
The couple filed for exclusive rights to 'Archetypes', but the US Patent and Trademark Office rejected their claims on the grounds that there might be confusion with an existing trademark.
Harry and Meghan attempted to claim rights to archetypes in areas such as "downloadable audio recordings and podcasts" and anything that fell under the category of "cultural treatment of women and stereotypes women face".
However, due to an existing trademark owned by Arizona Archetypes LLC, their requests were denied
